∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Earth Scientist for employment with our prospective clients working in oil and gas industry.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Geologist with in-depth knowledge of seismic interpretation, well to well correlation and hydrocarbon volumetric assessment. Good understanding of logging and rig operations including pre-drill well planning.
∎ Provide geological support to Wells Engineers, Petroleum Engineers during well planning and execution.
∎ Identify behind pipe perforation opportunities by utilizing geological cross-sections (seismic and well logs) to support the base business and reservoir management activities.
∎ Demonstrate strong project management skills, the ability to communicate to a range of stakeholders and facilitate discussions to determine priorities and drive to alignment behind the best technical solution clearly and consistently.
∎ Demonstrate strong commitment to IIF (Incident, Injury Free) culture within the team with visible OE leadership
∎ A track record of working effectively and collaboratively in an inclusive multi-disciplinary team environment
∎ Strong knowledge and experience of Petrel, rig-based drilling, and logging operations.
∎ In depth Knowledge of Surma Basin Geology, stratigraphy, and key risk elements in gas fields in Bangladesh.
∎ Knowledge of other Upstream technical disciplines (Reservoir Management, Petroleum Engineering, Exploration, and production) advantageous.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ 1-3 years of working experience in E&P company.
∎ Working experience in Oil & Gas industry will be preferred.
∎ Experience in Petrel is desirable for this role.
∎ Experience in data integration (engineering and drilling) will be an added advantage.
∎ Advanced Petrel skills with seismic interpretation, mapping and geological well cross-sections.
∎ Industry experience on volumetric assessment, well planning and well history.
∎ Strong collaboration with other stakeholder and teams.
∎ Clear communication and writing skills for management presentation.
∎ Excellent analytical, investigative and document management skills.
∎ Fluent in Subsurface analysis workflow to capture the uncertainties.
Salary:
∎ Negotiable
∎ Dominant work schedule will be 5 days on/ 2 days off basis. Work Schedule may vary as per Company`s requirement. Yearly two annual allowance/bonus. Cell phone allowance. Group life Insurance coverage. Hospitalization Insurance coverage.
