Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct lighter vessel surveys at Chattogram/ Mongla/ Narayangong/ Nagarbari/ Noapara independently/ joint survey and prepare survey reports to submit to the concerned department.
∎ Communicating and coordinating with all lighter discharge with unit head for unloading, production works and preparing comparative report basis survey & actual received quantity.
∎ Coordinate with lighter owner, carrier, supplier, third party surveyor regarding settlement/recovery of shortfall of the cargo.
∎ Prepare each vessel report and submit it to the head of the department from time to time.
∎ Maintained serial of all kinds of lighter's and received copy of boat note & kept record concerning with production unit in-charge at packing plant.
∎ Coordinating with store/ godown/ warehouse for safe quantity receiving and responsible final adjustment against quantity production and balance and B/L.
∎ Ensuring proper sweeping of the cargo / lighter vessel at the end of unloading of lighter at unloading site before issuance of release order to the lighter master.
∎ Keeping record of demurrage, dispatch of the lighters from time to time, and report the same to the concern management body.
∎ Maintain communication with the corporate logistics department regarding upcoming vessel line up & their quantity to get necessary preparation.
∎ Incumbents must be visited at unloading points frequently to get highest accuracy.
∎ Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 22 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Experienced / Qualified Surveyor in Fertilizer Sector.
∎ Ability to plan and manage time and resources.
∎ Ability to solve problem.
∎ High degree of organizational skills.
∎ Professional manner.
∎ Proficient in Microsoft Office.
∎ Work under pressure.
∎ Experience in the operation of different types of vessels and their cargoes
∎ General knowledge of the Shipping Industry.
