Job Context:
∎ JOB PURPOSE: Enhancing the image of BRAC by the BDCs through improving their leadership and strengthening partnership within BRAC programmes, Government and other agencies including NGOs, media and public representatives.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Represent BRAC in the respective Division in a befitting manner.
∎ Establish, maintain and strengthen strategic partnership and relationship with Govt. officials, Public Representatives & NGOs/INGOs, UN entities and other stakeholders.
∎ Participate and take part to make strategic decision in different government forums at divisional level as well as district level.
∎ Organise meeting for Divisional Government Officials for the sake of BRAC programme's interest.
∎ Ensure Field Visits for GoB officials and ensure presence of GoB representatives in BRAC events.
∎ Maintain BRAC lands, establish BRAC's ownership, initiate to solve land related problems at field level.
∎ Ensure proactive and dynamic flow of field information which will be helpful to reduce financial pilferages, ensure better safety and security of men and materials of BRAC.
∎ mplement the Annual Operating Plan of PSU in the division and organise quarterly review of the AOP at division, identify areas of improvement of BDCs and contribute in designing and facilitating capacity building initiatives for BDCs.
∎ Supervise and provide administrative supports to BDCs and have thrust for improving the quality of services.
∎ Ensure BDCs to lead DPC meetings and implementation of decisions at field level, and ensure celebration of BRAC wide events such as BRAC Values Award, BRAC Day, re-union, different campaigns etc.
∎ Take initiative to organise Inception Meeting, ensure proper visibility of BRAC programmes at District and Divisional level.
∎ Strengthen Federation of NGOs in Bangladesh (FNB) in all Upazilas and districts of the division.
∎ Liaison with NGOAB and different ministry for approval of foreign funded projects.
∎ Maintain a very congenial and supportive relationship with the regulatory authorities and other service departments of the government including the relevant intelligent (NSI, SB, DB) branches.
∎ Ensure to get project approvals/funding approval/ work permits for expatriate staff received in time and collect the working certificate from NGOAB/BIDA on time.
∎ Make sure of organisation of field visits for external visitors (National and International) and media representatives, and ensure produce of stories of BRAC results in local media (print and electronic) that enhance image of BRAC.
∎ Ensure to execute BRAC- SOP during disaster both in natural and manmade disasters and ensure prompt emergency response.
