Job Context:
∎ HEED Bangladesh is Non-Government and non-political National Organization working in the field of Health, Education and Economic Development for more the 48(forty-Eight) years. The Organization invites applications from the suitable candidates for it`s TB Control Program in Sylhet, Hobigonj and Moulvibazar Districts of GFATM project as a sub-recipient NGO of BRAC.
∎ • -One Year Contractual Appointment (With Possibility of Extension)/ After satisfactory performance.
∎ • -Start Date- As soon as possible
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Strengthen government health system for integrated TB control and prevention services
∎ • Promote government ownership and stewardship for implementing TB services
∎ • Support National TB Programme for implementation and long term sustainability
∎ • Coordinated planning with NTP in support of the transition towards government stewardship of key programme activities
∎ • Support National TB Programme for implementation of National TB/PPT/DR TBI TB HIV/High Risk population guidelines and SoPs
∎ • Optimum utilization of the resources and smooth implementation of the programme under the leadership of NTP
∎ • Monitor and supervise the implementation of TB programme with extensive field visit
∎ • Periodic data analysis, programme reviews/meetings at different levels with field staff in collaboration with NTP following national guideline and reach targets/milestone
∎ • To functioning Gene X-pert and TB diagnostic centre..
∎ • Supervise and provide support for administrative and financial management of the programme.
∎ • Ensure implementation of TB Control activities in the relevant geographic area.
∎ • Supervise and organize different awareness activities of TB control programme.
∎ • Conduct and attend monthly and quarterly performance review meeting with the staffs.
∎ • Ensure quality diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of TB patients in line with NTP guidelines, periodic visits in laboratory and field.
∎ • Ensure conducting outreach smearing centre by the staff as targeted
∎ • Facilitate in referral of TB presumptive cases to Gene X-pert and TB diagnostic central lab to early detection TB case.
∎ • Ensure timely availability of anti-TB drugs and other supplies.
∎ • Conduct monthly field visit as per action plan and send monthly visit report to the supervisor with a copy to respective field office.
∎ • Lead the TB team at district level and prepare annual and monthly work plan to achieve targets.
∎ • Well-functioning Gene X-pert and TB diagnostic centre to catch up missing TB cases
∎ Monitoring, supervision and coordination:
∎ • Maintain coordination with Government, BRAC, and other stake holders in implementing TB Control activities.
∎ • Monitor project activities and supervise the work of the staff directly through regular field visit and providing technical assistance.
∎ • Facilitate internal and external monitoring and audit.
∎ • Facilitate periodic visits by BRAC, NTP, WHO, LFA, Global Fund and other stakeholders.
∎ • Coordinate and attend monthly and quarterly programme review meetings organized by the SR and the PR.
∎ Reporting and dissemination:
∎ • Ensure disease report weekly, monthly and quarterly timely, accurate and complete reporting as per the agreement.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Ability to work with government, development partners and related stakeholders.
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team..
∎ Adequate knowledge in health and social structures of Bangladesh.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
∎ Good oral and written communication skill, both in Bangla and English.
∎ Knowledge in Application of Software, e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
∎ Minimum 03 years of experience in relevant field and/or area of health programme management.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 34,000/- (Monthly)
