  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant work experience in project management, finance, or administrative support in donor-funded development programs.

  • Familiarity with Health systems in Bangladesh and knowledge on the disease outbreak response activities at the district and below.

  • Familiarity with financial and programmatic regulations is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in event coordination, and partner liaison.

  • Strong skills in documentation, communication, and record-keeping.

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting tools or ERP systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bangla and English.

Project Description:

  • Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is a global project funded by the US Government and the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), that provides strategic technical assistance and direct service delivery to strengthen GHS, including outbreak response; improve maternal and child health (MCH), and promote health systems strengthening (HSS) including supply chain management.

Position Summary:

  • The District Coordinator will provide comprehensive support to the EpiC Bangladesh project, working across technical, administrative, and operational components at the district. Reporting to the Regional Coordinator, the District Coordinator will assist in the coordination and field implementation of program activities, partner management, reporting, and project documentation. This position plays a central role in supporting both technical and operational needs of the project, ensuring smooth execution of activities, financial accountability, and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Implementation & Coordination:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing program activities across all technical areas, including Global Health Security, MNCHN, Risk Communication and Community Engagement , and Health Systems Strengthening at district and below

  • Provide technical assistance to the the implementing partner for program implementation and stakeholder coordination at thedistrict and below levels.

  • Support the partners in development of the district and Upazila outbreak response plan focusing on the risk communication.

  • Coordinate with implementing partners and stakeholders to monitor progress, identify issues, and support the timely implementation of project deliverables.

  • Track program timelines, milestones, and deliverables, and support the Regional Coordinator with follow-up and reporting.

  • Work in coordination with the technical lead of GHS, MNCH, Nutrition and Evidence based public Health Messaging and Community Engagement and the Regional Coordinator.

  • Hands on support to the partner.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain organized records of program activities, meeting notes, stakeholder communications, and training materials.

  • Assist in preparing regular program reports, briefs, concept notes, and success stories.

  • Support the Regional Coordinator and technical team in the preparation of donor and internal reports.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of key decisions, events, and outputs for internal knowledge management.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Support engagement with district health authorities (DGHS, DLS, and other relevant departments), NGOs, and community-based organizations.

  • Strengthen coordination with the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), District and upazilla Public Health Emergency Committees, and other multisectoral platforms.

  • Assist in organizing participatory events and stakeholder forums to strengthen collaboration and alignment with project objectives.

  • Coordinate communication and scheduling with external partners for meetings, workshops, and field visits.

Monitoring, Reporting, and Data Use

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Information (SI) team to ensure quality data collection, validation, and reporting from community, upazila and districts

  • Facilitate monthly performance review of the district and upazila to assess progress against indicators and implement corrective measures.

  • Document lessons learned, success stories, and challenges to inform program improvement and learning.

  • Facilitate program coordination meeting with the partner to track the project activities.
