Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Fashion Design / Garment Technology or related field.

  • Educational qualification may be relaxed for highly experienced and technically proficient candidates.

  • Training in CAD system operation (Gerber / Lectra / Optitex) will be preferred.

  • Strong expertise in CAD software (Gerber, Lectra, Optitex, or equivalent).

  • Sound knowledge of pattern engineering, grading, sample construction, and garment manufacturing processes.

  • Strong analytical, cost optimization, and marker efficiency skills.

  • Leadership, decision-making, communication, and cross-functional collaboration ability.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple styles simultaneously.



Responsibilities & Context:

  • Lead, guide, and supervise the CAD, Pattern, and Sample Development teams to achieve departmental objectives.

  • Build team capabilities through training on advanced CAD systems, pattern techniques, and consumption optimization.

  • Oversee pattern making, grading, marker making, and consumption analysis using CAD software (Gerber / Lectra / Optitex or similar).

  • Review buyer tech packs, measurement charts, BOM, and construction details to ensure accurate pattern and sample development.

  • Validate fit, size, construction, and measurement accuracy before submitting samples to buyers.

  • Ensure consistency of fit and measurements across styles and seasons to maintain brand standards.

  • Coordinate with Merchandising, Sampling, IE, Production, and Quality Teams to ensure timely sample approval and smooth bulk execution.

  • Work closely with the Fabric, Procurement, and Costing teams to provide accurate consumption for costing and fabric booking.

  • Monitor and improve fabric utilization and consumption through efficient marker planning and layout optimization.

  • Analyze fabric wastage and recommend cost-saving solutions without compromising quality or fit.

  • Implement best practices, process SOPs, and automation tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Maintain all reports and documentation related to patterns, approvals, sample status, and consumption for internal and buyer audits.

  • Ensure compliance with buyer standards, technical requirements, and company policies
