Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Utilize Kubernetes expertise for seamless application deployment, ensuring continuous integration and effective cluster management.
∎ Apply Linux and Networking skills to troubleshoot complex issues, optimize network operations, and maintain systems.
∎ Implement various monitoring, logging, and alerting tools for ensuring system health and handling incident responses.
∎ Collaborate with the MIS team for effective provisioning and access management of servers.
∎ Work closely with backend and frontend teams to enhance collaboration and facilitate development and testing tasks.
∎ Design and execute the efficient migration of the Rails service with minimal downtime.
∎ Be available on call to respond promptly to alerts or production issues and monitor system operations for optimal performance.
∎ Design scalable and highly available deployment architecture.
∎ Plan networking based on application requirements.
∎ Prepare deployment configurations for databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis clusters.
∎ Recommend changes in deployment infrastructure, ensuring best practices at every layer of configuration.
∎ Implement security measures in infrastructure considering application deployment requirements.
∎ Configure load balancers and web proxy servers as per application needs.
∎ Optimize web server(s), load balancer(s), and web proxies for maximum performance.
∎ Implement deployment automation for web applications.
∎ Ensure updated chain releases of web applications.
∎ Enhance web layer security for applications.
∎ Analyze applications and prepare resource allocation plans.
∎ Make decisions on various types of clusters (storage, database) and other components based on application requirements.
