Responsibilities & Context:

Vocational Training Specialist-Digital Skills contributes to increasing the quality of the skill training activities according to plan & proposal. This position will ensure technical guidance and support to the Senior Project Officers in effective organization and facilitation of the digital skills training. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem-solver with a passion for digital education and a proven ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position will be instrumental in ensuring the project achieves its objectives on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Lead both formal and non-formal assessments to evaluate learner progress and training effectiveness. Lead community mobilization efforts to promote freelancing skills (e.g., data entry, digital marketing, SEO, Graphics design) training opportunities.

  • Facilitate training sessions according to the approved training modules and ensure effective delivery of technical content.

  • Provide technical assistance and expertise to enhance the learning experience of vocational training participants.

  • Develop training curriculum and materials and ensure refinement of training materials and modules as required based on the feedback of participants and project management.

  • Suggest and implement necessary modifications to training content based on feedback and emerging industry standards.

  • Monitor learner attendance and conduct door-to-door visits for follow-up when necessary.

  • Provide guidance and support to learners, ensuring their progress and addressing any issues that arise.

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure the quality of training provided to learners.

  • Perform regular monitoring, reporting, and problem-solving to ensure the successful implementation of training activities.

  • Offer technical guidance and support to Technical Trainers in conducting assessments.

  • Work closely with project support services to ensure the smooth execution of project activities.

  • Attend meetings, provide reports, and monitor the performance of field staff.

  • Prepare and submit internal and external reports as required by the supervisor.

  • Support the organization and facilitation of seminars, workshops, and training events related to the vocational training program.

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
