Experience:
Bachelor/ Master’s in Development Studies, Business Administration, Vocational Education, Engineering or any relevant discipline from UGC approved reputed university/institution.
KNOWLEDGE: Livelihoods trends and opportunities in the emergency response, market linkage and value chains, BRAC’s values and mission, entrepreneurship skills development.
SKILLS: Budgeting, communication, researching, writing, monitoring and evaluating, preparing reports, auditing, analysing budgets, project management
COMPETENCIES: Managing team performance and conflict resolution, leadership, managing timelines, oral and written fluency in both Bangla and English, handling critical issues with donor and project implementation
Deputy Manager-Market Linkage will support to enhance business capacity of the targeted participants through identification, assessment, capacity building and creating economic opportunities for the Rohingya community. The ideal candidate will be market-oriented problem-solver with a passion for market linkages and a proven ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment. The position will be instrumental in ensuring the project achieves its objectives on time, within scope, and budget.
Providing capacity building support to Rohingya youth through training, mentoring, intensive supervision and performance evaluation of their ongoing business.
Evaluate business performance, economic analysis and prepare business plans for project participants
Conduct market research to identify opportunities for refugee businesses, products, and services within the camp and surrounding areas.
Design and implement sustainable business models and projects that create economic opportunities for refugees.
Facilitate training and support for refugees to develop entrepreneurial skills and manage their businesses effectively.
Oversee the implementation of business development activities and monitor their impact, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
Working closely with other stakeholders and management team, meeting potential business partners and maintaining existing client relationships and monitoring market trends to come up with new business initiatives.
Advising the management team to take up new business ventures to improve the livelihood of project participants.
Supporting market linkages and value chains for existing interventions.
Providing monthly performance reports, collaborating with a Sectorial and non-Sectorial people to gather business intelligence
Supporting implementation of consultancy monitoring, evaluation, impact and Learning
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
