Job Context:
∎ Program title: Community engagement to improve Social and Behaviour practices for improved well-being of women and children in Cox`s Bazar including Rohingya Refugee camps
∎ Job Description / Responsibility of Deputy Program Manager (DPM)
∎ Supervisor: You are directly reportable to Project Manager (PM) and be based at Project Office, Cox`sbazar, You are the immediate Supervisor of Community Engagement officer, willing to undertake 60% of time in the field and 40% of time of in office.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The objective of the position is Assist to manage overall relevant stakeholders to implement the Project to bring sustainable and systemic changes in existing. Deputy Programme Manager is responsible for implementing CE project activities of SHED, Regular functioning IFCs and following up on all criteria`s and its ISP, CEO and Outreach Workers to communicate with people through community engagement sessions in communities and schools for Communication and other social and behavior change (SBC) intervention ensuring quality delivery of project activities.
∎ Planning: Ensure monthly work plan, Monthly, quarterly and special Field visit reporting.
∎ Reporting and Documentation
∎ Assist to prepare monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual Narrative reports, Special report and case study as per requirement.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to develop project implementation strategy to ensure quality standards of project delivery on time.
∎ Assist to prepare project implantation plan and, based on the targets, monthly activity plan.
∎ Coordinate with field staff with regular field visit to ensure smooth implementation of activities as per operation plan.
∎ Ensure regular field visit for monitoring and Supervision, On job training
∎ Effective communication and maintain liaison with UNICEF focal and SHED management for CE Project at local level
∎ Organize monthly Program review meeting at project Office, Upazila office and take steps for staff capacity development.
∎ Attend project related different forums, meetings, seminars at Upazila & districts level.
∎ Assist to ensure regular report preparation and submission to SHED and Donor management as per project need
∎ Assist to Project Manager Production of high quality, evidence-based donor compliant, humanitarian cluster like Communications with Community (CWC) and SHED management reports.
∎ Contribute to proposal development and fund-raising activities for future funding
∎ Work with team, building team cohesion, Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
∎ To assist CEO for Increase awareness of targeted beneficiaries on the importance of Project Needs.
∎ Advocate for Union perished regarding different entitlements issues on behalf of Target participants.
∎ Assist Union Parishad budget to assess allocation for our Target Participants in host community
∎ Document and assess Project Process (achievement, challenges, learning, outcomes, etc) throughout the entire project duration.
∎ Assist to Conduct survey and final evaluation and prepare report.
∎ Provides expertise in the development, organization, administration and execution of special events and keeping pre and post event details.
∎ Contributes and helps implement plans to engage stakeholders, ISP, Community engagement Officer, ISP and Outreach Workers.
∎ Liaise with internal departments, committees and external clients to facilitate the coordination of event production.
∎ Strong interpersonal skills in establishing successful working relationships both internally and externally.
∎ Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines for events.
∎ Ensure team building and explorer best practices in team.
∎ Identify and implement improvement strategies and best practices.
∎ Recruit, train and supervise CEO, ISP & volunteers According to needs.
∎ Assist with special events and other activities aligning with the agency's opportunities for Different level engagement.
∎ Monitor regular activities in field level and reporting to management.
∎ Liaison between management and filed level Staffs.
∎ Liaison and maintain an excellent relationship between the local govt. authority.
∎ Assist to PM to as per needs when require
∎ Other duties and work as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Proficiency in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.
∎ Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of management, ISP and volunteers
∎ Sound understanding on IFC system, IPC & Micro planning; Advocacy and Social Communication
∎ Have knowledge on SBC, messages and social mobilization interventions.
∎ Excellent communication and articulation skills, awareness of socio-economic and political sensitivities.
∎ Effective communication, report writing and presentation for external and internal audiences.
∎ Strong organizational (time management), analytical, and problem-solving skills
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Bangla & English
∎ Experience with database management.
∎ Make a hardship and have positive mentality to take workload
∎ Ability to multi-task, manage and meet tight deadlines
∎ Will be the budget holder of all type of field activities of Communities Engagement project
∎ Will supervise and monitor Community Engagement Officer
∎ Must be able to work well independently and as a valuable member of a team
∎ Knowledge management:
∎ Knowledge of evidence-based behavior change practices, knowledge management, M&E and project management
∎ Excellent speaking and writing skill in Bangla and English.
∎ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data analysis.
