Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Technology, or a related discipline from a recognised university.

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, machinery, production standards, and operational practices.
• Apply knowledge of relevant quality standards, including ISO, ASTM, or equivalent standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to textile operations.
• Analyse operational processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, control gaps, and opportunities for improvement, using sound problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured audit documentation and reports, and communicate effectively with auditors, operational teams, and relevant stakeholders.
• Utilise MS Office and AI-enabled tools effectively, demonstrate negotiation and interpersonal skills, and remain flexible to travel frequently across multiple operational sites as required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in a related field.

We are seeking a technically proficient individual to join us as the Deputy Manager, Textile Engineering within our Internal Audit function. In this role, you will provide specialized expertise in textile production, quality, compliance, and operational efficiency to strengthen audit assessments across Enterprises operations. You will leverage your textile engineering knowledge to evaluate risks and controls, ensure adherence to industry standards, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialised technical expertise on textile processes, including fabric manufacturing, dyeing, finishing, weaving, knitting, and embroidery, to support internal audit activities.

• Assess operational risks, internal controls, and compliance with standard operating procedures, organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across textile operations.

• Review production processes, documentation, machinery maintenance records, process logs, and quality practices to identify control gaps, operational risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.

• Evaluate adherence to quality, occupational safety, environmental, and production standards, and provide practical recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and enhance product quality.

• Prepare technical audit notes, observations, checklists, and risk-based recommendations, and contribute accurate and evidence-based technical inputs to audit reports for senior management.

• Support management and operational teams in developing and implementing corrective actions to address audit findings and strengthen process controls.

• Coordinate with relevant zones, divisions, sections, programmes, Enterprises, and operational teams to facilitate audit activities, gather required information, and ensure effective implementation of annual audit plans.

• Collaborate with internal audit colleagues and provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing sessions on textile processes, engineering practices, operational risks, and quality requirements to strengthen audit capabilities.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

• Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.

• Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
