Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Interpret the results of the data analysis, draw inferences, conclusions and present the research results to the committee.
∎ Use research results to write reports, papers, and reviews, and present findings in journals and conferences.
∎ Collaborate with research teams, Marketing & Communication teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to develop marketing materials and campaigns to promote the region's economic development advantages
∎ Conduct research and analysis to identify market trends, industry clusters, and business opportunities for targeted sectors.
∎ Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to stakeholders, community groups, and government officials to promote economic development initiatives.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of economic development programs and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvements or changes as needed.
∎ Develop and implement economic development strategies and initiatives to attract new businesses, retain existing businesses, and stimulate job creation.
∎ Develop and manage economic development projects, including feasibility studies, needs assessments, and business retention and expansion programs.
∎ Provide guidance and support to entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses in accessing resources, funding, and business development programs.
∎ Conduct high-quality economic and business research to identify common challenges for doing business in the Economic Zones and remedies thereof.
∎ Support the advocacy function of BEZIA through the provision of timely information on macroeconomic issues and other government policies that have the potential to affect investors adversely.
∎ Must have knowledge about the development trends, investment policies and comparative investment incentives in the economic zones of our neighboring as well as competitive countries.
