Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
Required Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of NFPA, BNBC, BEPZA, RSC, Nirapon, and local regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, hydraulic calculations, and fire protection system design.
Excellent project management, budgeting, procurement, and contractor management skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, review, installation, testing, commissioning, and compliance management of Fire Hydrant, Automatic Sprinkler, and CFDS in accordance with NFPA, BNBC, RSC, Nirapon, and other applicable standards.
Prepare and review hydraulic calculations, CFDS calculations, and AutoCAD drawings related to fire protection systems.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities and consultants to obtain approvals and ensure compliance with RSC, Nirapon, BEPZA, and buyer requirements.
Manage and facilitate fire safety audits conducted by RSC, Nirapon, buyers, and third-party auditors.
Plan, manage, and execute engineering and infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
Prepare project proposals, technical specifications, BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents, and bid evaluations.
Lead contractor selection, procurement processes, project scheduling, monitoring, and quality control.
Present project justifications and obtain management approvals through technical and financial evaluations.
Evaluate project outcomes, cost-effectiveness, operational benefits, and return on investment.
Design and select fire-rated construction elements, including fire separations, fire-rated doors, lift doors, and related passive fire protection systems in compliance with NFPA and BNBC requirements.
Coordinate with overseas and local vendors for technical evaluation, negotiation, procurement, importation, and delivery of equipment and spare parts.
Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and cost analyses for project-based and routine procurement activities.
Oversee operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and spare parts management of:
-Screw-type Air Compressors
-Compressed Air Distribution Systems
-Split-Type and VRF Air Conditioning Systems
-Passenger Lifts and Goods Hoists
-Washing Plant Equipment
-Boilers
-Laboratory Equipment
-Other Mechanical Utility Systems
Ensure uninterrupted operation through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Coordinate annual inspections, load testing, certifications, and third-party assessments where applicable.
Develop and maintain efficient spare parts inventory systems to support preventive and emergency maintenance requirements.
Monitor stock levels, consumption trends, and procurement planning to minimize downtime and optimize inventory costs.
Lead and supervise the subordinates and maintenance teams under mechanical section.
Develop work plans, maintenance schedules, manpower allocation and team work.
