∎ JOB PURPOSE
∎ Plan, implement, monitor, manage and coordinate overall field activities;
∎ Coordinating all the project interventions in the cities/towns;
∎ Guide and supervise field staff;
∎ Ensure strong communication exchange between the field level and HO;
∎ Maintain strong liaison and networking with the concerned BRAC programmes, NGO`s, local government and government departments.
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities related to project outputs.
∎ Lead the preparation, documentation, validation and implementation of community action plan (CAPs), as per project guideline to improve livelihood, increase income, and access to social safety net services for the new poor living in the climate vulnerable communities.
∎ Community mobilization and identification of the climate migrants and climate vulnerable communities to acquire climate resilient and sustainable livelihood through diversified capacity building, asset transfer and market linkage support.
∎ Capacity building of community participants, community-based organizations, project staff and relevant stakeholders.
∎ Close liaison with City Corporation /Pourashava authorities, GO/ NGOs, community organizations and other relevant stakeholders for smooth implementation of the project interventions.
∎ Facilitate enhanced access of the participants to skills training from relevant Government and non-government organization (GO-NGO) entities and provide support for job placement for vulnerable people including youth in agreement with selected private stakeholders.
∎ Formation/re-activation of social safety net forum, sensitize local community on social safety net services and advocacy with city authority and concerned government agencies to incorporate climate vulnerable and new poor eligible participants in the social safety net schemes.
∎ Implement climate resilient community infrastructure including WASH, livelihood and business development in the selected communities based on need assessment.
∎ Identify potential network and linkage opportunities and develop partnerships with NGO-GO, private sector service providers and other BRAC programmes and facilitate enhanced access of the participants to financial services from GO-NGOs
∎ Guide and supervise field staffs to ensure all targets are met according to annual plan. Monitor progress of the project and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities.

∎ Financial and progress report preparation skill.

∎ Demonstrated ability to successfully manage large scale and complex projects.
∎ Current national and global development trends related to climate change, locally led adaptation, urban poverty, community vulnerability and urban development.
∎ Competence in analyzing the social and gender dynamics within urban set up.
∎ Community organizing and social mobilization in urban informal settlements.
∎ Climate Change Adaptation, Urban Resilience, Resilient livelihood.
∎ LGI and Community capacity building initiatives.
∎ Climate-resilient WASH interventions at community level.
∎ Creativity, Result oriented, Integrity, Flexibility, Decisiveness, Adaptability, Teamwork, Self-motivated.
∎ 4 years of working experience in the relevant field will be given preference.
