∎ Purpose:
∎ The prime responsibility of the Deputy Manager is to assist the Senior Manager, Finance and Accounts to guide, supervise, track and maintain the day-to-day activities of the department.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manages day-to-day accounting, invoicing, payroll, cash management and internal financial reporting
∎ Ensures the compliance of all regulatory requirements and keeps up to date on all the fillings and approvals with all regulatory bodies in Bangladesh (such as: NBR, RJSC, NGOAB, Central Bank etc.)
∎ Ensures accurate and timely reporting
∎ Continually reviews work practices and procedures for better operational efficiency and to mitigate potential issues in accounts, financial processes, and controls. The incumbent is expected to proactively raise management's attention to issues and act to resolve them in a timely manner.
∎ Provides financial advice on planning and analysis for projects
∎ Provides support and input to project financial planning processes including monitoring progress
∎ Ensures consistent application of BYLC policies and procedures and advises on operational structure of projects/programs in accordance with donor requirements while taking into consideration multiple currencies and co-funding requirements
∎ Produces and reviews financial reports, ensuring that expenditure occurs according to approved contractual budgets
∎ Provides liaison between project managers and donors as and when required
∎ Communicates major funding gaps and recommends best working solutions to respective managers
∎ Handling tax issues including issues of tax certificates
∎ Banking transaction and VAT & Stamp
∎ Tax management
∎ Prepares reports and presents findings
Additional Requirements:
∎ 4+ years of experience with 1+ years of experience of working in an NGO
∎ Skills:
∎ Experience in a finance role in any NGO
∎ Proficient in using Tally Accounting software
∎ Intermediate to advanced level competency in Microsoft Excel
∎ Superior mathematical skills
∎ Leadership skills and experience
∎ Employee and team management
∎ Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
∎ Superior attention to detail
