Experience:
Master’s in any discipline; however, preferably in English/ Communication/ Journalism/ Development Studies/ Social Sciences/ Public Relations/Education or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in communication, public relations, knowledge management, or a related role, preferably in development or non-profit organizations.
Experience with government education departments and local officials is desirable, along with a background in community engagement with parents, schools, and grassroots structures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English, including report writing and storytelling.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital communication platforms.
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate complex information
The “Strengthening Parents Teachers Association (PTA) for Accelerating Social Accountability and Primary School Retention” project, funded by Proticus, is being implemented until 31 December 2025. The project aims to strengthen and activate PTA guidelines to ensure greater parental involvement in their children’s education and overall development.
The ultimate beneficiaries of the project are pre-primary and primary school students, who will gain from improved education quality and reduced dropout rates. The initiative is expected to positively impact approximately 9,000 students across three upazilas in Rangpur.
Key stakeholders include DPEOs, ADPEOs, TEOs, ATEOs, Head Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and parents, who will actively participate in various workshops and orientation sessions organized under the project.
Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for leading communication and knowledge management under the Parents Teachers' Association (PTA) Strengthening Project by developing strategic communication plans, coordinating knowledge-sharing, and supporting advocacy efforts. The role will manage collaboration with an external research partner and ensure close coordination with DPE, local education officials, and internal teams. This position is vital to documenting and communicating the project’s learning and innovations, particularly around co-creating functional PTA guidelines, to inform policy and practice at national and local levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with project objectives and stakeholder needs.
Produce key materials such as concept notes, policy briefs, background papers, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Lead content development across digital, print, and social media platforms ensuring visibility and alignment with branding guidelines in coordination with central communications team.
Design and manage systems for capturing and disseminating learning, including best practices, case studies, and success stories.
Oversee the creation and maintenance of knowledge repositories for project reports, research findings, and learning resources.
Coordinate with the external research firm in collaboration with MEL and BEP leadership to support the co-creation of PTA guidelines.
Support the planning and facilitation of meetings, trainings, courtyard sessions, and workshops involving key stakeholders and field office team members.
Provide technical support and capacity building to project staff on effective communication, documentation, and knowledge-sharing tools.
Safeguarding Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
