Responsibilities & Context: Job Context:
This position will lead and manage the local procurement function to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of goods and services from local vendors, in alignment with requirements and procurement strategies of Jamuna Group.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:
- Develop and implement local sourcing strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable vendor base to meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal procurement value.
Procurement Operations:
- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), and indirect materials.
- Manage RFQ (Request for Quotation), RFP (Request for Proposal), and purchase order processes.
- Monitor local market trends and pricing to maintain competitiveness.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement SOPs, and statutory regulations.
- Maintain all procurement documentation including contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and responses.
Cross-functional Coordination:
- Work closely with production, quality, finance, and warehouse teams to align procurement with operational needs.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery and resolving local supply chain issues.
Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation:
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and alternative sourcing opportunities.
- Manage risks associated with vendor dependency, delivery delays, and quality issues.
