Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context:

This position will lead and manage the local procurement function to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality acquisition of goods and services from local vendors, in alignment with requirements and procurement strategies of Jamuna Group.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management:

  • Develop and implement local sourcing strategies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable vendor base to meet the company’s quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure optimal procurement value.

Procurement Operations:

  • Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, consumables, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations), and indirect materials.
  • Manage RFQ (Request for Quotation), RFP (Request for Proposal), and purchase order processes.
  • Monitor local market trends and pricing to maintain competitiveness.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement SOPs, and statutory regulations.
  • Maintain all procurement documentation including contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and responses.

Cross-functional Coordination:

  • Work closely with production, quality, finance, and warehouse teams to align procurement with operational needs.
  • Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery and resolving local supply chain issues.

Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and alternative sourcing opportunities.
  • Manage risks associated with vendor dependency, delivery delays, and quality issues.
