• Candidate must have Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized University or with CA/ CPA/ CMA preferred with vast healthcare related field.

• Age: Up to 55 years. Age is relaxed for high experienced candidates.

• At least 15 years job experience of which at least 10 years of proven experience in a senior level finance and accounts position in any vast healthcare field or, development organization.

• Experience Requirement:

• Experienced in direct supervision of a diverse team of professional accountants andfinancial management team members;

• Demonstrated ability to write financial reports and ensuring timely delivery of financialreports to the government and donors;

• Demonstrated knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS);

• Demonstrated expertise with GOB financial rules and regulations;

• Experienced in working with accounting software packages. Experienced in ERP or TALLY software will be a plus point;

• Must have extensive experienced in operating system of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point etc.);

• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and aims;

• Fluency in speaking and competency in writing English and Bangla is required.

The founding motto of DAM is ‘Divine and Humanitarian Service’, over last 65 years DAM has been serving the human community for improved living conditions enhancing people’s capacities to maximally utilize their inner potentials. DAM has been contributing to the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating various institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Finance & Accounts Division is a core division in DAM Head Office provides strategic direction and leadership of the financial and accounting management of the Division and other relevant financial policy to ensure compliance with DAM rules and regulations. Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital, Uttara, Dhaka, is one of the institutions of the DAM, aiming to provide high-standard quality healthcare services including cancer treatment and general health services to the general population at a reasonable price. It’s a well-equipped diagnosis service along with a pharmacy setup. DAM is now looking for a looking for a competent, self-motivated and high experienced Deputy Director, Finance & Accounts for immediate appointment for Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital (AMCGH), Uttara, Dhaka.This is a senior management level position in AMCGH to lead and guide the team members of the Finance & Accounts (F&A) division under the overall supervision of AMCGH Authority and also DAM Management.

Responsibilities:

Deputy Director, Finance & Accounts (F&A) will provide support to AMCGH Management regardingstrategic direction and leadership of the Financial and Accounts management of the hospitalas well as DAM Management. He/She will manage and supervise the Finance & Accounts teammembers, which includes Assistant Directors and other team members in respect of all financial matters and annual performance evaluations. He/She must have proven experienceand skills in Financial and Accounting Manual and operations policies and procedures aswell as well conversation with financial rules and regulations of GOB including Tax and VAT. He/She will be competent in handling external auditor, tax consultant and other financial consultant as per rules and regulations of the organization. He/She will prepare Donor and organizational financial reports as and when required. He/She will maintain close relationship with other organizations, institutions and projects in DAM. This position is based in the hospital and also Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) Head Office in Dhaka.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Deputy Director, Finance & Accounts (F&A) will provide support to AMCGH & DAM Management regarding financial management and strategic decision and will be responsible foroverall operations of the division of the hospital (AMCH, Uttara);

• Direct and supervise day to day financial activities of the hospital and guide directly all activities related to Accounting and Financial Management of the F&A Division;

• Provide support to the Finance & Accounts Division to approve voucher and other expenses as per delegation of financial power of the organization;

• Provide assistance and coordination during external financial audits if any, and provide necessary support on regular basis;

• Initiate process of appointment of external auditor, tax consultant and other financial consultant as per rules of the organization;

• Ensure that the internal audit team is undertaking audit as per plan and circulating the audit reports to all concern (DAM Authority) in due time including necessary findings and recommendations;

• Initiate process in obtaining approval of audit report by the Executive Committee of DAM and also Governing Body (GB) of AMCGH, Uttara;

• Maintaining liaison with development partners, Tax/Vat authority, Bank, Letter of Credit, Insurance, Financial Institutions and other relevant organizations in respect of all types offinancial matters;

• Support to the Higher Authority in all financial information, budget preparations, revised budget formulation and budgetary control;

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Higher Authority of the AMCGH, Uttara.
