Responsibilities & Context:
Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive specialist cardiovascular care through diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and management of heart and vascular diseases while ensuring high-quality patient care and supporting education and research.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases.
Conduct outpatient and inpatient consultations.
Perform and interpret ECG, Echocardiography, Holter monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Test (ETT), and other cardiac investigations.
Manage cardiac emergencies such as acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, heart failure, and hypertensive emergencies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
Supervise junior doctors, residents, interns, and medical students.
Counsel patients and families regarding treatment options and lifestyle modification.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement, and continuing medical education.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and ethical standards.
