Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social work and administration, Development studies, gender studies, community; psychology, social sciences, Education, or any other relevant academic discipline
Good knowledge of computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and Outlook). Very good oral and communication skills in Bangla. English skills is an added value.

Context:
The Counselors cum Trainers for the Parayan Project. Work with individuals, groups and communities to improve mental health. Provide direct support and care for vulnerable women and youth (including survivors of gender-based violence) including basic information counselling and case management: Assessment of survivor needs, developing an action plan, implementing the plan, follow up and case closure processes.’
Responsibilities:
Provides counseling to women, youth and families as appropriate to the position; prepares treatment plans and follow-up care programs; provides crisis intervention and emergency services as required.
Collects data about patients through interview, case history, and/or observational techniques; evaluates data to identify causes of problems and to determine proper therapeutic approach or referral to other specialists.
Provides and/or arranges for counselling interventions as appropriate for beneficiaries in a crisis condition and for those with serious disturbance problems especially victims/survivors of GBV.
Follows up to determine reliability and validity of treatment used; makes recommendations regarding modification to services and service delivery.
Consults with other legal and treatment agencies and individuals in relation to beneficiary records, rights, and responsibilities.
Consults with other related professionals as appropriate, in the performance of therapeutic and/or casework; refers clients to appropriate service agencies as required.
Participates in, leads, and/or coordinates training sessions and workshops to enhance treatment skills.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Plan and organize GBV trainings on different topics, according to the needs (e.g. GBV basic concepts and guiding principles, safe identification and referral of GBV survivors, GBV mainstreaming in other sectors
Collect, adapt, create the training material in coordination with the Area Manager and Trainers.
Work closely with the Area Manager/Trainers to identify the training needs and topics. Coordination with the Area Manager when it comes to trainings to be delivered to the communities for trainings related to identification, referral of cases and survivor centered approach.
Assist with developing new curriculums, and community training methodologies.
Support with submitting weekly, monthly and quarterly work plans and reports as required.
The salary package is monthly BDT 18,000, excluding admissible benefits like Mobile bill, Transport Bill, TA/DA during official in-country travel
