Education:
∎ Master of Social Science (MSS), Master of Science (MSc) in Statistics, Master of Arts (MA) in English
∎ Master’s degree in Social Science/ Statistics/ English or other relevant subjects. At least 7 years’ experience in project management level in development sector. Candidate with 3rd division or lower CGPA in academic record is requested not to apply.

∎ Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate stakeholders.

∎ Experience in managing partnerships with CSOs, Government agencies and donors.
∎ Have in depth knowledge on Climate Change & Disaster Response related issues.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Coordinate with project managers and other staff of Emergency Response & Disaster related projects.
∎ Participate in project proposal and concept note paper for new project of the organization.
∎ Plan and prepare requirements for the field exercise.
∎ Sensitize stakeholders and maintain good working relationships with key personnel.
∎ Provide support for the supervision, monitoring and reporting of all activities of different projects.
∎ Assist to develop situation report, action plan for relevant stakeholders.
∎ Prepare presentation for the meetings and issues for the various level of coordination meetings and workshops.
∎ Provide technical support for conducting different research, baseline, midline, end line study or assessments, and midterm reviews.
∎ Prepare learnings documents such as good practice, lessons, challenges and generates evidence as impacts of the ASD’s efforts.
∎ Support programme team members with writing, editorial support and coordinate with other units.
∎ Support programme’s external and internal communication needs as required.
∎ Work closely with Program Director to make sure project activities are implemented in time.
∎ Provide support and monitor the implementation of project activities according to the workplan and scheduled timeline.
∎ Maintain regular communication with the project managers and conducting regular field visit.
∎ Assist, support, design and implement the organization’s communication and advocacy strategy.
∎ Assist in production of communication material e.g. publications, documentary, etc.
∎ Document and archive all the reports, information and materials related to the project.
∎ Ensure proper flow of information with the field offices, regional / sub-regional offices and head office for the preparation of reports as per specific project reporting schedule.
∎ Analyze risks and opportunities, and using critical thinking to evaluate situations and make decisions.
∎ Maintain liaison with the Donor partners and head office of ASD for successfully implementation of the project activities.
∎ Action for Social Development (ASD), established in 1988, is a non-government, non-profit and non-political development organization. ASD started its development activities with a Vision that people irrespective of their culture, ethnicity and religion enjoy full democratic and human rights and live in peace and dignity. The Mission of ASD is to facilitate the poor creating solidarity among themselves, building their capacity and bargaining power for realizing their rights and needs in order to improve their quality of life. ASD has a unique experience of working in both urban and rural areas and has experience of working as the head of consortium. ASD in a span of over 35 years, successfully implemented 75 development projects. In the previous journey ASD had a footprint in 17 districts of Bangladesh.
