Project Background
The Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence Against Women and Girls (PREVAIL) Project, of the Bangladesh Police, aims to strengthen survivor-centered Gender-Based Violence (GBV) response services. The project focuses on enhancing the capacity of police personnel in delivering gender-sensitive legal and protection services, community awareness, and a multi-sectoral referral mechanism. Currently, the project is being implemented across 10 priority districts and 92 selected police stations.
Position Summary
The Project Associate will be based in the project office and will report to the project director. H/S will work under the guidance of the project admin and the finance officer and will be responsible for the implementation, coordination, documentation, and reporting of project activities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with the Project Director, government counterparts, UNFPA, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective planning, implementation, coordination, and reporting of project activities.
Prepare concept notes, briefing notes, talking points, meeting minutes, background papers, and other project-related documentation.
Develop PowerPoint presentations, training materials, information packages, and communication materials in both Bangla and English.
Draft, review, and process official correspondence, government letters, meeting notices, circulars, office orders, and reports in Bangla and English.
Coordinate field-level activities with 10 District Superintendents of Police (SP) Offices and 92 Thanas in collaboration with field teams.
Support the Project Director and government counterparts in preparing and submitting project reports and documentation for PIC, PSC, ADP, IMED, ERD, CAFO, Cabinet Division, and other government reporting requirements.
Ensure proper filing, record-keeping, and management of project documents, approvals, correspondence, agreements, and reports in compliance with organizational and government requirements.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Director, Project Steering Committee, or Management for successful project implementation.
