Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist ASD in planning, designing, developing and implementing requisite advocacy initiatives and campaigns for the promotion of Child Rights in Bangladesh.
∎ Support the organization in the formation of coalitions/partnership with organization or network both nationally and internationally primarily working for child rights or advocating child protection and development.
∎ Engage in advocacy and lobbying on child rights issues, exclusively and or in conjunction with partners and network members to influence policy and law makers to change existing policies or laws or develop new laws and policies as per existing and emerging needs.
∎ Raise awareness about child rights in Bangladesh with identified audiences and able to garner support of wider audiences including community support groups, CBOs, local NGOs from grassroots all over Bangladesh.
∎ Establish relationship with the leading print and electronic media and seek their support to highlight burning child rights issues to facilitate increased awareness and policy advocacy.
∎ To plan and undertake media campaigns based on important days and events to promote the issues of child rights and work out innovations for such campaign and events.
∎ Able to prove ingenuity/innovations in highlighting ASD as a lead organization working for the establishment of child rights.
∎ Able to establish close relationship with concerned ministries and government agencies including the Ministry of Women and Children’s Affair, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Education to enable ASD fulfill its mission.
∎ Prepare and compile advocacy and campaign related reports and other reports as advised by the Executive Director of the organization.
∎ Any other job or related task as determined by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years of experience in Advocacy, Campaign, Lobbying and Communication
∎ Additional Job Requirements
∎ Applicant should have knowledge on child rights related national and international laws and policies.
∎ Strong knowledge regarding the child rights and child labour situation gender equality, Child Marriage, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in normal and emergency situation.
∎ Applicants should have interest to work in a team, in the slum areas of Dhaka City for the purpose of serving the disadvantaged, poor & extreme poor households.
∎ Ability to organize national level seminar, dialogue, workshop and symposium.
∎ Strong communication with media.
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures
∎ Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word and Power Point.
∎ Report writing skills both Bengali & English.
∎ Age 25 to 40 year(s)
Salary: Tk. 46656 (Monthly)
