Responsibilities & Context:

• Specialize in surgery, surgical consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

• Assess and manage surgical patients in OPD, IPD, and emergency services.

• Conduct on surgical procedures within the scope of qualification, training, and competence.

• Conduct appropriate pre-operative assessments and obtain informed consent.

• Provide effective post-operative management and follow-up.

• Request and interpret clinically appropriate investigations.

• Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, prescriptions, and discharge summaries.

• Coordinate with Medical Officers, Nurses, Anesthetists, and other Consultants to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, patient safety, and infection-control standards.

• Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, and effective communication with patients and attendants.

• Participate in clinical meetings, audits, training, and quality-improvement activities.

• Contribute to the development and growth of the hospital's surgical services.

• The selected Consultant will be required to work exclusively with YORK Hospital Ltd. and will not be permitted to practice elsewhere in Dhaka City during the period of employment.

• The position is full-time and salaried.
