Education:
MBBS degree with at least 8 years of post-graduate experience in anesthesiology, after attaining FCPS or MD (Diploma holders not eligible) for Consultant and MBBS degree with at least 5 years of post-graduate experience in anesthesiology, after attaining FCPS or MD (Diploma holders not eligible) for Associate Consultant.

Job Context:
Bangladesh Specialized Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant / Associate Consultant in Anesthesiology to provide comprehensive perioperative care, including preoperative evaluation, perioperative management, and post-anesthesia care. The Consultant / Associate Consultant will work closely with surgical teams to ensure tailored anesthesia plans and high-quality patient care using advanced monitoring techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Administer general and regional anesthesia; adjust dosing as needed during surgeries.
Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop customized anesthesia plans.
Document patient records and medications administered.
Oversee anesthesia management in operating theaters.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, fluid balance, blood, and electrolyte status during procedures.
Respond to adverse anesthesia reactions or complications to ensure patient safety.
Provide anesthesia for procedures outside the OR (e.g., CT, MRI, ERCP).
Mentor and supervise Specialist, Registrar, and Sr. Medical Officers in Anesthesiology.
Work with surgical teams to assess patient histories and tailor anesthetic plans.
Perform airway management, intubation, and extubation.
Ensure safe post-anesthesia recovery and transition through recovery stages.
Participate in medical boards as required
Involved in comprehensive perioperative care, including pre-op evaluation, intra-op management, and post-anesthesia recovery.
Works closely with surgical teams, delivering advanced monitoring techniques and world-class patient care
