Working Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relevant experience. Candidates with a having experience in Cox’s Bazar Rohingya context with donors like WFP, FAO and UNHCR will get preference

  • Skills and Additional Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity with WFP infrastructure standards and school-based construction

  • Strong understanding of BoQs, drawings, and construction safety protocols

  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic CAD or design software

  • Fluency in Bangla; working knowledge of English preferred

  • Willingness to travel daily to multiple school sites

  • Technical supervision and attention to detail

  • Problem-solving and responsiveness in field conditions

Responsibilities & Context:

Expected Joining: October 2025

Duration: Till December 2026 with High Possibility of Extension

Project Brief: World Food Programme assisted school feeding programme, funding through United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) McGovern-Dole FY24 award aims to improve child nutrition, education, and health outcomes in Bangladesh . The programme will be implemented for five years, from October 2024 to September 2029. The programme will directly support 31,936 pre-primary and primary school children in 149 Government Primary Schools in Madhabpur upazila of Habiganj district, while providing technical assistance in Ukhiya and Kutubdia upazilas of Cox’s Bazar district to continue the best practices achieved under USDA McGovern-Dole FY17 and FY20. The Programme also will provide capacity-strengthening support to the Government for upcoming Government Primary School Feeding Programme. The key activities under the programme include providing nutritious school meals, developing instructional materials, strengthening education system capacities, building and rehabilitating WASH facilities, supporting nutrition education, establishing school gardens, enhancing smallholder farmer production and market access, and enabling national and sub-national governance structures. The Programme will be implemented in collaboration with key partners, including CNRS, RtR, and FAO, to ensure sustainability, evidence generation, and effective coordination across sectors.

Under the guidance of WFP, CNRS will ensure food distribution, improved Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, and health education in targeted schools. CNRS will also focuses on capacity building, community engagement, and promoting sustainable practices.

Part I: Job Statement

CNRS, in partnership with WFP, is implementing the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program in Madhabpur Upazila, Habiganj District to improve child nutrition, school attendance, and learning outcomes. The program involves the regular distribution of fortified biscuits and fresh food items to targeted schools. As part of the program, infrastructure upgrades such as food storage units, handwashing stations, and WASH block Construction and Repair are being constructed to support hygine and efficient food distribution. The Construction Supervisor plays a key role in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance throughout the construction process.

The Construction Supervisor will oversee the implementation of school-level infrastructure works, ensuring that all construction activities meet technical specifications, donor

standards, and environmental safeguards. The role requires close coordination with contractors, school authorities, and CNRS technical teams.

Part II: Job Responsibilities and Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities at assigned school sites, ensuring adherence to approved designs and BoQs

• Monitor contractor performance, work progress, and material usage

• Ensure compliance with WFP infrastructure guidelines, CNRS quality standards, and environmental safeguards

• Conduct site inspections and verify structural integrity, safety, and usability of completed works

• Maintain detailed site logs, progress reports, and photographic documentation

• Coordinate with school authorities and community stakeholders to minimize disruption and promote ownership

• Report any deviations, delays, or safety concerns to the Project Manager promptly

• Support procurement and logistics teams in verifying delivery and use of construction materials

• Assist in final handover, snag list resolution, and documentation for donor reporting and audits

• Uphold CNRS’s values of transparency, accountability, and inclusion throughout the construction process

Key Deliverables:

• Weekly site progress reports with photos and technical notes

• Verified completion of infrastructure works as per design and timeline

• Safety and quality compliance checklists for each site

• Final handover documentation and contractor performance evaluations

• Support provided for donor reporting and audit readiness



Job Other Benifits:
    • Salary: BDT 58,113 per month all inclusive
