∎ Collaborate closely with the Upazila Coordinator and other project staff to ensure smooth implementation of project activities.

∎ Identify and address challenges in mobilizing the community and suggest practical solutions.
∎ Promote gender equality, inclusion, and participation throughout all activities.
∎ About SMKK
∎ SHEBA MANAB KALLYAN KENDRA (SMKK) is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental humanitarian nexus organization established in January 1996. Committed to serving underprivileged populations across Bangladesh, SMKK focuses on areas such as climate resilience, poverty alleviation, gender equality, women empowerment, humanitarian and emergency response, agriculture, WASH, health and nutrition, education, skill development, human rights and good governance, private sector engagement and organizational development.
∎ Currently, SMKK, in partnership with GFA Consulting Group GmbH (GFA) and supported by the CEF include the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Global Affairs Canada (GAC), is implementing the "Strengthening Civic Engagement and Gender Equality in Climate-Vulnerable Communities" (NAGARIKATA: SCEGE-CVC) project. The project will be developed in 4 Upazilas of Patuakhali and Barguna districts aiming to enhance civic engagement and promote gender equality among landless, climate-vulnerable communities. This initiative aligns with CEF’s objectives to amplify citizen voice, foster dialogue between civil society and the government, and contribute to SDGs 5 and 16.
∎ Position Summary
∎ The Community Mobilizer will play a crucial role in engaging and empowering landless, climate-vulnerable communities in Barguna and Patuakhali Districts. This position is responsible for grassroots-level community engagement, facilitating participation in project activities, and raising awareness about climate change impacts, human rights, and governance issues. The Community Mobilizer will act as a bridge between the community and the project team, ensuring that the project is responsive to local needs and fostering strong community ownership of project activities.
