Job Context:
∎ Organizational Unit/Department : Disaster Response department (PMO)
∎ Reporting line : CEA Coordinator, PMO, Cox`s Bazar, BDRCS
∎ Service type : Contractual
∎ Duration of contract : 12 months (with possibility of extension)
∎ Age Limit : 35 years (may be relaxed for potential candidates)
∎ Duty station: PMO HUB, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall responsibility:
∎ Ensure stronger coordination of CEA activities at the camp level
∎ Reach people through CEA outreach activities in different camps
∎ Ensure strengthen prompt and quality information and feedback system
∎ Extend efficient CEA support to different sectors
∎ Increase community participation and transparency in the Population Movement Operation
∎ Roles and Responsibilities:
∎ Managing the CEA community volunteers and CEA RCYs in his/her camp
∎ Ensuring close coordination with the PGI and PSS teams and organizing joint community-based activities
∎ Coordinating the radio listening program and looking for opportunities to scale it up
∎ Organizing a mahji/imam meeting to share information and collect feedback (at least once per month)
∎ Actively monitoring the perceptions from communities by organizing regular Focus Group Discussions and door-to-door activities
∎ Organizing outreach activities to raise awareness among Guest and Host communities about BDRCS as well as their right to provide feedback to us
∎ Collecting all feedback from the different feedback channels (such as the feedback box, the radio listening program and the information desk) and sharing the report with the BDRCS CEA Officer on a weekly basis, for further analysis
∎ Following up with the people who provided feedback, questions or complaints after the BDRCS sector lead has provided a response
∎ In case of sensitive complaints, ensuring an immediate referral to the Senior Committee for Sensitive Issues (in accordance with the PGI protocol)
∎ Accomplish any other responsibility assigned by the PMO management and line manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years of professional working experience with vulnerable target groups. Preferably experience in migration projects or comparable projects of other humanitarian or development partners.
∎ Workable command of MS-Office, Intranet, internet.
∎ Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, e-mail, internet and IT software).
∎ Willingness to learn from other team members.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla and good writing skills in both languages.
∎ Excellent communication skills.
∎ Willingness to participate in field work at the local area of camps for the people from Myanmar.
∎ High social sensibility and empathy.
∎ Ability to multi-task and work under stressful conditions to meet deadlines.
