Educational Requirements:
∎ HSC / Equivalent degree.
Job Context:
∎ Social and Economic Enhancement Program (SEEP) is a Child Rights Based Non-Government Organization established in 1986. SEEP works for the empowerment and participation of disadvantaged and victim children in Bangladesh (both boys and girls, including children with different abilities), and their parents and community, so that they can protect and promote child rights.
∎ SEEP is going to implement "Safe Back to School Community based Integrated Case Management Project" under the supervision of Save the Children International. This project will be implemented at Mirpur and Dhamsona Union in Dhaka District. The aim of the Community based integrated case management model is to encourage community members including child protection committees, school management committees, parent teacher associations and community health workers, to promote children`s attendance at school and work together to holistically address barriers to education.
∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be up to 30th June, 2022.
∎ Position Title: Community Educator under Safe Back to School Community level Integrated Case Management (SB2S CCM) Project
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish effective relationship with the local schools, teachers, SMC members, local education service and duty bearers to identify the children already dropped or at risk of drop from school.
∎ Learn/gain appropriate knowledge from the relevant sources on how to keep continuing the education of the children in this hard times
∎ Keep regular communication with the children and their parents for education purpose
∎ Arrange periodical meeting with the education duty bearers, SMC, Teachers to share the recent findings of gaps of education to the children and seek needful for mitigate those.
∎ Prepare education awareness materials and share those accordingly.
∎ Arrange alternative education for the children upon consultation with team members and duty bearers
∎ Support the children in the development and implementation of project interventions in participatory way.
∎ Assist in the delivery of timely reports on of field interventions.
∎ Participate in data collection, mapping exercises and organize interviews and group discussions.
∎ Work with the safeguarding focal point to assess risks and local mitigation
∎ Assist to manage case management of children and families, regarding education.
∎ Assist in preparing report on SB2S in the field.
∎ Make need assessment of the beneficiary for capacity development
∎ Arrange/ Recommend training for the project beneficiary, duty bearers and service providers.
∎ Assist to orient child safeguarding policy of SEEP and SCI for everyone concerned at every meeting or gathering
∎ Undertake any other duties that may be determined by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Working with NGOs and children
∎ Ability to work in slum/community.
∎ Conduct mapping of services in the target area.
∎ Experience on beneficiary selection from community.
