∎ Position Summary & Job Purpose:

∎ Tetra Tech is seeking a Communications Specialist for the USAID`s Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth through Energy (BADGE) project. The project improves energy security and resilience in Bangladesh by providing access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy systems, and promoting transparent and efficient energy markets. The activity will advance private sector investment, promote policy and regulatory environments favorable to the sector and investors, support entrepreneurs developing and distributing energy technologies, and convene platforms to share best practices in the management of the energy sector. Altogether, through June 2026, BADGE project will support Bangladesh`s transformation to a developed, decarbonized, and inclusive energy sector.
∎ This position is full-time, and hiring is contingent upon USAID approval. Interested candidates must be eligible to work in Bangladesh.
∎ Line management responsibility:
∎ Reporting to COP and supervising the Administrative Officer
∎ Physical demands & work environment: Office setting
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support with developing and implementing BADGE's Communication Strategy and Branding Strategy and Marking Plan
∎ Coordinate all external outreach on the project to the Government of Bangladesh (GoB) and other stakeholders in consultation with USAID.
∎ Respond to incoming requests for information, talking points, messaging, etc. from project staff, USAID, and counterparts
∎ Develop communication materials on issues and topics in the energy field for diverse audiences including the USAID, the GoB, and internal staff to be used for written and verbal communications and social media
∎ Provide communication support at events including preparation of press releases, announcements, social media posts and organize photography and videography activities as required
∎ Responsible for writing and editing monthly newsletter, website, success stories, PowerPoint presentations, videos, talking points, and social media content
∎ Edit and finalize reports for donors and GoB stakeholders on a regular basis
∎ Promote project accomplishments, learning opportunities, and findings of project activities and deliverables through communications channels and products to increase the accessibility and utilization of project information
∎ Ensure proper branding and marking across project activities
∎ Produce customized products such as data visualizations and infographics, videos, and other communication products related to project activities and energy sector reform following USAID graphics standards and project branding and marking requirements
∎ Develop communications protocols and coordinate clearances with USAID missions and USAID Washington, as needed
∎ Develop and disseminate communications and outreach materials in line with USAID guidance
∎ Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10 years of experience in a communications role, preferably working on a USAID contract funded project
∎ Experience with social media communications.
∎ Very high level of professionalism and tactfulness.
∎ Strong team-player
∎ Fluency in English (reading, writing and presentation skills) with strong oral and written presentation skills
∎ Valued but not required KSA's:
∎ Master's degree in related communications and/or marketing field.
∎ Experience writing about energy issues.
∎ Understanding of USAID contract brand requirements.
