Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in Media and Communication, Journalism, Statistics, Marketing, Literature, Public Relations, Development Studies from any recognised university with all second class/ division or equivalent GPA/ CGPA in academic examinations. Field of study can be compromised for the experienced candidate.

∎ Purpose: As part of the HCMP Communications team, this position provides technical support to assigned Sectors/Programmes related to communications and branding through content development, media engagement and community engagement in the humanitarian context. This position also ensures BRAC`s presence and visibility in the respective Sectors/Programmes in collaboration with relevant government stakeholders, partners, donors, and media.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan and produce communications materials on a regular basis for the HCMP programme.
∎ Ensure that agreed key messages are used consistently in all communications by assigned Sectors/ Programmes, and are in line with BRAC's core values and central messaging format.
∎ Ensure quality content development (photos, videos, graphics designs, human interest stories etc.) following BRAC brand guidelines.
∎ Develop communications product ideas for best representing the Sectors/ Programmes among key stakeholders.
∎ Support Sectors/Programmes with writing and editing.
∎ Closely work with other communication focal persons in the Sectors/ Programmes for responding to programme needs on time and as per requirement.
∎ Work with media team to maximise exposure in external media including print, electronic and new media as per defined targets.
∎ Coordinate with Sectors/ Programmes for collecting reports, photographs, videos, human interest stories etc.
∎ Provide support for preparing communications budget, tracking progress of budget spending and procurement process.
∎ Write creative pieces/ blogs/ articles on BRAC and external digital platforms.
∎ Provide support in regularly updating HCMP website with content, photos, videos etc.
∎ Share data, statistics, case stories on BRAC media outlets/communications platforms and social media and contribute to the global agenda as appropriate.
∎ Support the branding, campaign and communications initiatives of BRAC as required.
∎ Search for award opportunities and prepare submissions.
∎ Safeguarding
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 2 years of experience in development communications/ journalism is required.
∎ KNOWLEDGE: BRAC's values and mission, development sector, global development scenario to identify funding trends, contemporary communication practices and platforms, media engagement
∎ SKILLS: Visual content development, designs creative writing, blogging, visual storytelling, strategic communication, relationship building, event management, social media, public speaking
∎ COMPETENCIES: Facilitating group meetings, developing work and project plans, setting priorities, meeting deadlines
