Job Responsibilities:
∎ Preparation and Grilling: Prepare and grill a diverse range of BBQ dishes, including meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and comply with established recipes and presentation standards.
∎ Marinades and Seasonings: Create and apply a variety of marinades, rubs, and seasonings to enhance the flavor of BBQ dishes.
∎ Quality Assurance: Inspect and ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients, and promptly report any issues to the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
∎ Station Organization: Maintain a clean and organized BBQ station, including regular cleaning of grills, utensils, and equipment, as well as keeping the work area clutter-free.
∎ Sanitation: Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation guidelines, including the safe storage of ingredients, maintaining personal hygiene, and following resort policies.
∎ Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that BBQ dishes are presented attractively and meet customer expectations for taste, texture, and temperature.
∎ Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team in developing new BBQ menu items, seasonal specials, and innovations to enhance the resort's offerings.
∎ Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels for BBQ-related ingredients and supplies, notifying the Executive Chef when supplies need to be replenished.
∎ Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other culinary team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours.
∎ Training: Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and ensure they understand and follow all safety and operational procedures.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 20 years
∎ Proven experience as a BBQ Chef or a similar role.
∎ Knowledge of different BBQ styles, techniques, and flavor profiles.
∎ Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
∎ Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
∎ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
∎ Culinary school or apprenticeship experience is a plus.
