∎ The role of the position of Commercial Director (1 vacancy): As the Commercial Director for Colgate Palmolive ACI Bangladesh Pvt Limited, you will be responsible for setting the financial direction and maintaining sound commercial health of the company in the country.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Strategic planning: Examine past financial performance and study emerging market trends, forecast their impact on business from a financial perspective and validate assumptions made by other functions during the budgeting process
∎ Scan the external environment to anticipate / prepare for new accounting standards, financial policies, laws or changes to the existing ones.
∎ Prepare strategic plan for the Finance function in alignment with the overall organizational strategy
∎ Develop annual budgets and monthly estimates and ensuring plans are developed/ correction action initiated to deliver it
∎ Enable Tech Adoption: Ensuring adoption of technology, enable analytics and provide timely and relevant inputs for commercial decision making
∎ Prepare roadmap for commercial success through implementation of new age digital tools and technology solutions
∎ Identify and leverage best practices around digital capabilities from within/outside industry
∎ Business performance review and controls : Review financial and operating performance regularly by monitoring margins, cost of sales, cost of production, returns on marketing spend, inventory cost, accounts receivables, cash flows, non-variable overheads, treasury investment yields, working capital management, etc.
∎ Approve marketing promotions & campaigns, and capital expenditure proposals by evaluating ROI and payback periods
∎ Monitor adherence to finance and business control policies and approve changes to existing policies in light of regulatory and legislative amendments.
∎ Other responsibilities : Review and approve monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting statements e.g. Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss (P&L), Cash flow statements by coordinating with Colgate Business Services
∎ Address queries of the Board and provide business updates by presenting the financial and compliance report
∎ Review audit findings and guide the company to comply with external and internal audit requirements by approving and monitoring action plans.
∎ Recruit, train and develop talent in the financial function and prepare them for leadership roles
∎ Kay Result Areas: Grow the business - Net sales & Profitability
∎ Maximizing ROI while optimizing liquidity for working capital management and investment.
∎ Ensure adherence to statutory compliances.
∎ Build & strengthen the org culture.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 15-20 years' experience with proven ability of managing and growing a business with strong experience in internal controls, plant controllership, budgeting & planning. Educational background - CA having worked with commercial functions. Prior experience in Budget & Planning (FP&A). Entrepreneurial mindset. Strong bias for action. Comfortable with ambiguity. Appetite for pushing boundaries and taking risks. Driven by need to explore new ideas.

Salary:
∎ Salary - BDT 50,00,000 - BDT 70,00,000 + 15% variable
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Car allowance - BDT 6,00,000 / year
∎ Other benefits - approx. 5% of fixed pay
