Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Climate Finance Expert to join our team. As a Climate Finance Expert. You will be responsible for providing specialized expertise in environmental assessment, management, and sustainable development across a variety of projects. 

• Responsibilities: Identify and secure funding from various sources, including international financial institutions, government programs, and private investors, and climate funds such as the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
• Develop and implement investment strategies that align with environmental and climate goals, focusing on sustainable and resilient projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess the potential environmental and financial impacts of proposed projects. 
• Design, implement, and manage projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing energy efficiency, promoting renewable energy, and conserving natural resources.
• Evaluate the financial risks associated with climate change, including physical risks (e.g., natural disasters) and transition risks (e.g., policy changes). 
• Develop risk mitigation strategies, including insurance solutions, diversification of investments, and adaptive project designs. 
• Ensure compliance with national and international environmental regulations and standards.
• Advocate for policies and regulatory frameworks that support climate finance initiatives and sustainable development. 
• Monitor the performance and impact of funded projects to ensure they meet environmental and financial objectives.
• Prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, including funders, government agencies, and the public, to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, private sector entities, and community groups, to build partnerships and foster collaboration.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders to enhance their understanding and capability in managing environmental and climate finance.
• Identify, develop, and disseminate best practices in climate finance and sustainable investment. Promote innovative financial instruments and mechanisms, such as green bonds, carbon credits, and climate insurance products.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation on environmental assessments and findings.
