∎ Primary school certification (Grade-5)
Job Context:
∎ UNHCR aims to support the COVID-19 response of Government of Bangladesh by setting up ICU/HDU in Sadar Hospital, Cox`s Bazar to provide care to critically ill patients. The recruited staff will be seconded to Cox`s Bazar Sadar hospital.
∎ The overall responsibility of the cleaner is the maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the HDU and ICU continuously
∎ Employment Status: Contractual (Six months contact)
∎ Job Location: Sadar Hospital, Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Regular and routine cleaning of all surfaces and maintaining a high level of hygiene in the facility according to national IPC guideline
∎ Regular and routine washing/disinfection of privacy curtains, walls, hospital linen, floors and furniture.
∎ Regular and routine cleaning and disinfection of the patient's bed, patient room, nursing and doctor's unit, mattress and pillow
∎ Maintenance of personal hygiene, proper usage of PPE
∎ Making patient beds, waste disposal according to GoB waste management protocols
∎ Collection of dirty laundry from all patient areas and distribute the clean linen and hospital gowns back to the appropriate floors
∎ Correct use of cleaning equipment, dilution of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
∎ Cleaning, stocking and supplying designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
∎ Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities
∎ Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects
∎ Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
∎ spatial arrange furniture, equipment and minor repairs
∎ Stock and maintain supply rooms
∎ Cooperate with the rest of the staff
∎ Follow all health and safety regulations
∎ Attend in-service training as necessary
∎ Any additional job responsibility by supervisor

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 6 months of working experience as a cleaner in any reputed hospital/clinic
∎ Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
∎ Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
∎ Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
∎ Languages: Bangla: Advanced
∎ Required Competencies:
∎ Accountability,Continuous Learning, Communication , Creativity and Initiative ,Leadership and Negotiation ,Performance Management , Planning and Organizing , Professionalism ,Teamwork , Technological Awareness ,Resource Mobilization .
∎ Language proficiency in Bangla
Salary:
