About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our bank’s operational strategy, regulatory engagement, and business alignment.
This role sits at the intersection of Operations, Business, and Technology, reporting directly to the CIO, and will play a critical role in driving efficiency, compliance, and digital transformation across the organization.
What You Will Do
Lead Bank-Wide Operations:
Oversee end-to-end banking operations including payments, settlements, trade services, and branch operations
Ensure high-quality service delivery, operational efficiency, and scalability
Be the Regulatory Interface:
Act as the key liaison with Bangladesh Bank and other regulators
Lead regulatory reporting, audits, and inspections with strong governance
Partner with Business Leaders:
Align operations with Retail, Corporate, SME, and Digital Banking strategies
Enable faster, compliant product launches and improved customer journeys
Drive Digital & Tech Integration:
Work closely with the CIO to integrate operations with core banking and digital platforms
Champion automation, straight-through processing, and process innovation
Strengthen Risk & Control Frameworks:
Ensure robust operational risk management, compliance, and internal controls
Lead BCP, disaster recovery, and audit readiness initiatives
