  • Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive legal experience preferably in Banking, with at least 5 years in a senior legal position within the banking or financial institute.

  • Strong understanding of banking laws, regulatory compliance, commercial law, and corporate governance.

  • Experience in handling complex legal and regulatory matters and interacting with regulators and external counsel.

  • Applicant having break of service need not apply.

Responsibilities & Context:

A Leading Private Commercial Bank is looking for Experienced Officials for the following post

Location: Head Office

Employment Status: Permanent in the rank up to FVP/VP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on all banking operations, transactions, and strategic initiatives.

  • Oversee litigation, dispute resolution, and coordination with external legal counsel.

  • Ensure compliance with banking laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate major contracts, MOUs, and legal documents.

  • Lead the development and implementation of legal policies, frameworks, and corporate governance practices.

  • Advise senior management and the Board on legal implications of decisions and emerging risks.

  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and ensure timely updates to internal policies.
