Responsibilities & Context:
  • Lead financial strategy development and alignment with the hospital’s overall mission and goals.

  • Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports.

  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and financial reporting standards.

  • Implement effective internal control systems to safeguard hospital assets.

  • Manage financial risk and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including billing, collections, payroll, and purchasing.

  • Optimize hospital operational costs and drive cost-saving initiatives.

  • Develop and manage capital expenditure plans and financing strategies.

  • Maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.

  • Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.

  • Provide financial insight and strategic recommendations to the Management and board.

  • Collaborate with department heads to align financial resources with clinical needs.

  • Oversee the hospital’s investment portfolio and financial assets.

  • Develop financial models for new projects, expansions, and service enhancements.

  • Drive the implementation of advanced financial systems and technologies.

  • Ensure the finance department is well-staffed, trained, and highly effective.

  • Monitor and evaluate the hospital’s financial performance regularly.

  • Oversee tax planning and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.

  • Communicate financial performance updates to stakeholders, including the board, donors, and regulators.
