Responsibilities & Context: Society for Project Implementation Research Evaluation and Training (SOPIRET) Established in 1985 as a non-profit, non-political, social and multi-Sectoral voluntary organization. Since 1985, SOPIRET has been conducting its constructive socio-economic activities in line with the needs of the poor in order to empower the poor, especially women. At present, SOPIRET is operating Various projects in 33 upazilas like Laxmipur, Chandpur, Comilla, Noakhali and Feni districts with health, education, ENRICH, RMTP, RAISE and micro-credit activities. In addition to its ongoing development activities in the evolving socio-economic changing situation, SOPIRET has been conducting "Social and Cultural Activities program ", like school forum and club-based activities for school-college adolescents and for the backward elders of the society "Uplifting the quality of the lives of elderly people program", since July 2017. The organization is committed to improving the quality of the lives of disadvantaged people in the region. The organization is certified by MRA (Certificate No. -01874-02086-00279) and Partner organization of PKSF. Applications are invited for the post of " Chief Executive Officer (CEO)" on an urgent basis from qualified, honest, hardworking and experienced candidates who are interested in working with the rural community in the organization's work area.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the Founder and the Executive committee to establish and chart the Organization’s strategic direction, presenting the Founder and the Executive committee with carefully prepared, innovative short- and long-term strategic proposals and considerations.
- Liaise with the individual members of the Executive committee to maximize their potential value to SOPIRET.
- Lead efforts to implement strategic choices and monitor corporate performance in meeting strategic goals and targets, adjusting course as needed.
- Lead organization-wide strategic and operational planning in an inclusive and participatory way consistent with SOPIRET’s values.
- Present regular reports on the status of the operations of SOPIRET to the Executive committee of SOPIRET and to staff.
- Liaise with the Present/General secretary of the SOPIRET to maximize operational alignment.
- Oversee all the operations of SOPIRET.
- Oversee SOPIRET’s finances, ensuring adequate and sound funding for the mission and goals of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations of MRA & PKSF.
- Work collaboratively, accept responsibility, be inclusive and motivate colleagues.
Model and Nurture SOPIRET's Values and Culture
- Promote internal shared leadership, leadership development, and other expressions of team member ownership to ensure the organization’s strong current and future ownership and leadership.
- Ensure diversity and inclusion (DEI) policies, principles, values, and behaviors are fully upheld, integrated, and operationalized across all SOPIRET's departments and functions.
- Ensure the Leadership Team models the organization's values and tracks and reports progress toward DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion objectives) objectives.
- Facilitate updates to the values and culture as the organization evolves in collaboration with the Leadership Team, the Executive committee, and the changing environment and external context.
Results-Oriented Change Leadership
- To improve the relationship with the members of the samities. Actively supervise Regional Manager (RM) / Area Manager (AM) / Branch Manager (BM) with to improve their performance.
