• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Economics, Management, or related discipline

• MBA/MBM preferred

• Professional qualifications such as CFA, FCA, FCMA, ACCA, CPA will be an added advantage

• Strong academic record (no third division/class in any level)

• 10 to 15 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Banks, Investment/Merchant Banking, Share Brokerage/ Securities House

• Age 40 to 55 years

• Age preferably not exceeding 55 years

• In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh capital market and regulatory framework

• Strong understanding of BSEC rules, DSE/CSE operations, and CDBL systems

• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and strategic thinking capabilities

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

• High integrity and commitment to ethical business practices

• Should have a clear understanding about the different financial statements and knowledge about technical and fundamental analysis of capital market.

• Should be capable in market trend analysis as well as market forecasting mechanism.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in capital market operations, brokerage services, merchant banking, or securities business

• Minimum 03 (three) years of experience as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a securities company, brokerage house, merchant bank, or other financial institution will be preferred

• Strong leadership and senior management experience with proven success in achieving business growth and operational excellence

• Sound knowledge of Bangladesh capital market regulations, compliance framework, and securities operations is essential

Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC, a leading Shariah-based commercial bank in Bangladesh, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its subsidiary Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities Limited (SJIBSL).

SJIBSL operates as a full-fledged brokerage and investment service provider, actively engaged in trading of shares and securities on behalf of clients since and contributing to the development of Bangladesh`s capital market.

The CEO will provide strategic leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive sustainable business growth while maintaining the highest standards of governance and ethical practices.

• Job Location: Head Office, Dhaka, Bangladesh

Key Responsibilities

• Drive target-oriented business growth, ensuring achievement of revenue, profitability, and market share objectives;

• Lead strategic planning and execution with a strong focus on business expansion and performance targets;

• Oversee overall brokerage, trading, and securities operations with a results-driven mindset;

• Ensure compliance with regulations of BSEC, DSE, CSE, CDBL, RJSC, and other relevant authorities;

• Monitor and enhance financial performance, cost efficiency, and risk management aligned with business targets;

• Develop and implement KPIs and performance metrics across all functions;

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, stakeholders, and the Board to support business growth;

• Identify new revenue streams, products, and market opportunities;

• Foster a high-performance culture with accountability and target achievement;
