About the Role: A professionally managed and growth-oriented business operating in the workforce solutions, BPO and managed-services space is seeking an accomplished Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead its next stage of commercial growth and business transformation.
This is a CXO-level business leadership opportunity for a commercially astute executive who can build markets, develop enterprise relationships, create new revenue streams and translate strategy into measurable business results.
The organization works with corporate and institutional clients to provide professional workforce and business-support solutions, with a strong focus on service quality, reliability and long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute the organization's 3-year business strategy and translate strategic priorities into annual operating plans.
Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies for sustainable revenue and market growth.
Drive annual revenue, profitability, and business performance targets.
Monitor market trends, client requirements, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities within the BPO and HR services sector.
P&L & Financial Management
Take full ownership of the business P&L, including revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and cash flow.
Develop and execute plans to achieve annual financial and profitability targets.
Regularly review business performance against budget and operating plans.
Analyze and interpret P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements to support strategic and operational decisions.
Manage working capital, DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), DPO (Days Payable Outstanding), and Cash Conversion Cycle.
Drive cost optimization and improve overall cost-to-serve.
Sales & Business Development
Lead the overall sales and business development function.
Develop strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing accounts.
Personally manage and maintain relationships with the organization's top 10 clients, or other strategically important accounts.
Lead negotiations and closing of large and multi-year BPO contracts.
Build strong relationships with C-suite-level decision-makers and key business stakeholders.
Ensure achievement of agreed sales and revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic clients.
Understand client business needs and translate them into commercially viable service solutions.
Act as a senior escalation point for critical client matters.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, service quality, and contract performance.
Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-selling, and long-term partnerships.
BPO Service Delivery
Ensure effective delivery of services across all relevant HR BPO verticals.
Establish and monitor service standards, KPIs, SLAs, quality measures, and productivity targets.
Ensure operational teams consistently meet contractual and client expectations.
Identify service delivery gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Drive the use of technology and automation to improve productivity, quality, scalability, and service efficiency.
Operational Excellence & Automation
Lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business productivity.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, digitalization, and automation.
Reduce unnecessary operating costs while maintaining service quality.
Establish performance-monitoring mechanisms across business functions.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Leadership & Team Development
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team.
Develop leadership capabilities through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
Establish clear goals, KPIs, accountability, and performance expectations for senior team members.
Build an effective organizational structure aligned with business growth and strategic priorities.
Board & Management Reporting
Prepare and present monthly business reviews to the Board.
Provide clear analysis of revenue, profitability, operational performance, cash flow, sales pipeline, client performance, and key business risks.
Present strategic recommendations and action plans based on business performance.
Maintain transparency regarding business challenges, opportunities, and financial performance.
