∎ Action for Social Development (ASD) is inviting application from committed and progressive development worker for the position of Centre In-charge, LRC for The Right to Education and Social Protection of Deprived Children at High Risk in Bangladesh (RESH) Project, funded by Bread for the World (BftW) Germany. Candidates having at least 5 years` work experience in Child Development and willing to work anywhere in Dhaka City is requested to apply.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Centre In-charge, LRC under the direct supervision of Project Officer of RESH Project is primarily responsible for operating Learning and Recreation Center (LRC) and providing education and awareness services to working children.
∎ Establishing Learning and Recreation Center (LRC).
∎ Identify working children as per guideline for enrollment in LRC
∎ Build rapport with the working children, parents/ guardians and employer of working children.
∎ Build good relationship with local community people in project working area and maintain cooperative relationship with the local level stakeholders.
∎ Enroll working children at LRC to provide services through field visit regular basis and work closely with them to overcome high risk situation.
∎ Conduct non-formal education session for working children as per developed curriculum.
∎ Develop education and awareness raising materials.
∎ Arrange National and International day observation/ celebration with the participation of LRC children.
∎ Create and update the children profile and document their progress with project support.
∎ Assist Project Management to capture success story and case study.
∎ Arrange and facilitate different awareness session with children as well as parents on safety during work and use of safety equipments.
∎ Keep record of all initiatives day by day and inform up to date to project management.
∎ Prepare progress report and financial task to implement and monitoring of project activities.
∎ Meeting with employers to convince them not to recruit children in risky job and provide all facilities to children according to Labour law.
∎ Manage LRC staff according to the HR and other policies.
∎ Perform any other reasonable duties and tasks as assigned by the Project Management and the respective supervisors.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ At least 5 years of experience in development sector specially with deprived children
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):General knowledge about working, their life, problems and requirements, laws and policies for them. He also should have skill to work in slum areas.
∎ Applicants should have interest to work in a team, in the slum areas in Dhaka City for the purpose of serving the disadvantaged children.
∎ Strong understanding of child rights, Gender equality, Child Marriage, Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in normal and emergency situation
∎ Ability to communicate with people from different cultures
∎ Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word and Power Point
∎ Report writing skills.

Salary: Tk. 20000 (Monthly)
