• Minimum 1 years of experience in the Health-related field or NGO sector (Experience in Drug Treatment/HIV Prevention/Universal Treatment (UTC) Curriculum) is preferable.

• Effective interpersonal communication skill.

• Operational decision making.Have to be stress tolerance.

• Basic computer literacy.

• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking ability, strong communication, report writing, presentation, and negotiation skills;Proficient in English (oral and written).

Job Context:

Dhaka Ahsania Mission (DAM) is a non-government development organization founded in 1958 by Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, an eminent educationist, reformer and Sufi with the aim of social and spiritual development of entire human community. DAM has been contributing for the betterment of the disadvantaged population through operating 35 institutions and also 8 sectors of development. Health and WASH Sector is one of the core sectors of DAM which has also been operating 8 institutions and 16 projects. DAM Health and WASH Sector is going to recruit a competent and self-motivated individual for the position of "Counselor" of “Ahsania Mission Female Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Center”, Shyamoli, Dhaka.

Job Responsibility:

• To ensure daily In-house program.

• To provide client admission information.

• To ensure admission & release procedures in her office time.

• To provide brief intervention to the clients.

• To provide in-house client information to the guardian.

• To ensure client discipline through Group evaluation.

• To identify problems of the clients and initiative to solve them.

• To performs regular assessments and reassessments to determine need for continued services at the appropriate level, transitions in level of care, treatment plan development and updates, coordination of referrals (including connections with and transportation to physical and mental health services), monitor progress in services, and patient advocacy.

• To assist PSY Counselor to prepare every month’s psychosocial session plan with the coordination of all staff and ensure the daily psychosocial session.

• To conduct regular session as per schedule.

• To ensure the usage of Telemedicine App.

• To ensure all needs of the clients according to treatment plan.

• To support resolve crisis, if any time.

• To provide regular motivational support to the clients.

• To document patients' progress in Daily reports & necessary information for further specialized intervention.

• To ensure to keep confidentiality of the clients and building of professionalism of program staff and ensure the center as safe place for the clients.

• To ensure and arrange family visit programs regularly.

• To maintain client related data systems, including case notes.

• To maintain liaison network with Drug Treatment Center, other different stakeholder for center promotional activity and ensure referral service for patient.

• To conduct regular campaign program for promotional activity.

• To maintain the all Ethics of the center.

• To coordinate the contingency management program for client.

• To plan and coordinate over all development of the center with Center Manager.

• Any other responsibility as designated from time to time assigned by the Center Manager, Senior Psychologist and Director Health & WASH sector.

• To must abide by the Safe Guarding Policy including Gender, PSHEA, Child Safeguarding and Anti-Harassment Policy, Code of Conduct and other policies of DAM consciously.
