Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Capacity Building Specialist will work on Save the Children's new program focused on strengthening the Education in Emergencies (EiE) capacities of local NGOs, especially the quality of teacher training. The project will improve teaching quality through the continuous capacity building of local and national education partners and respond to the teaching and learning needs of Rohingya and Bangladeshi teachers in the camps. The Capacity Building Specialist will support the Education Technical Advisor and coordinate closely with EiE Operations Team.
∎ The Capacity Building Specialist will support the launch of a new project that will work closely with 10 education partners in the Rohingya Response and deliver a set of capacity building trainings to support over 2000 teachers. S/he will be responsible for designing training materials, delivering training activities to master trainers, and coordinating with the Education Sector throughout the project. The role will spend time in the field and coordinating with local agencies post-training activities and supporting capacity development planning for education partners.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 5 years' experience of working in Education in Emergency (EiE) program
∎ S/he is expected to have demonstrated experience and strong skills on teacher training and curriculum development along with good training facilitation skill
∎ Sound knowledge and experience in using established inter-agency standards or SCI packages in EiE, such as the INEE MS, LWiE, ELM, Life Skills, DRR, TICC, etc
∎ Ability to identify the quality issues in EiE in the given context and implement field-level solutions
∎ Experience of working with and supporting local partners
∎ Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, excellent interpersonal-skills/ ability to represent the organization with local authorities and community leaders.
∎ Strong communication skills with excellent written and spoken ability in English and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
