The Business Economist will support the Corporate Strategy Director by establishing a robust economic intelligence system covering national and global data and trends for decision-useful insights for leadership and businesses.

What You Will Do

• Track macroeconomic data, policies, market trends, technology and global developments from credible sources.

• Translate economic developments into business insights, risks and opportunities for ACI.

• Develop forward-looking scenarios to support planning, budgeting and business decisions.

• Prepare monthly/quarterly economic outlooks, budget analyses and thematic research.

• Develop dashboards and monitoring tools to identify emerging trends and early warning signals.

• Assess the potential impact of policy changes, macroeconomic shocks and global events on ACI.

• Provide ad-hoc research, data modelling and analytical support to Strategy & Planning, SGCO and business units.

What You Bring

• Strong understanding of macroeconomics, Bangladesh's economy, and global economic and policy trends.

• Strong quantitative and data-handling skills with advanced Excel; Python, R or Stata will be an advantage.

• Excellent report writing and data visualization skills, with the ability to simplify complex economic issues into business insights.

• Analytical rigor, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, business acumen, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
