∎ SHEBA MANAB KALLYAN KENDRA -SMKK, a non-profit, non-political, Humanitarian and Development organization, established in January 1996. It is registered with NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh. It is committed to serving the needy people and working towards various humanitarian and development programs such as Emergency Response, Recovery, Rehabilitation, DRR, Resilience, Climate Change Adaptation, Education, Health & Nutrition, Women Empowerment, WASH, Skill Development Training, Vocational Training, Disability Development, Agricultural & Sustainable Livelihood, Food Security, Seasonal Programs, Partnership and Resource Mobilization, Volunteer Development, CSR and Event Management. These programs are implemented in various region of Bangladesh supported by various donors. Since inception, SMKK has gained tremendous achievement through mobilization and implementation of multi sectoral projects and programs supported by multifarious donors/financial partners and Bangladesh Government.
∎ SMKK is currently going to recruit some Business Development Officers (BDO) who will be working closely with the women entrepreneurs to establish their businesses through ensuring all the support services.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The main responsibility of BDO is to develop plan and strategy to support the selected women beneficiary for establishing their business.
∎ S/he will develop capacity of the project participants (beneficiary) in planning and implementation of viable IGAs in the project areas.
∎ S/he will facilitate the process of identifying and analyzing business opportunities appropriate for the poor/ultra-poor women to implement along with identification and analysis of potential risks/constraints of those IGAs and their possible mitigation measures.
∎ The BDO will be responsible for capacity building of the project staff, counterparts, service providers and project participants, particularly in the areas of business development, value chain and market development.
∎ S/he is to take lead role in developing training curriculum and modules for the training of project staff and participants and in imparting training of the beneficiary.
∎ The BDO will also mobilize the self-help savings groups and promote group business.
∎ Identify potential service providers, input/output market actors, and develop strategies for analyzing and addressing their constraints.
∎ Analyze the knowledge and behavior of project participants and their constraints to increase production and accessing markets and develop strategies to address those.
∎ Train and coach Field officers, Community Volunteers and other stakeholders on business & market development for strengthening their capacity.
∎ Organize and facilitate different training, workshops/meetings, orientation and discussion sessions etc.
∎ Develop and maintain working relationships with concerned departments, agencies, market actors, different associations, partners and stakeholders.
∎ Conduct regular field visits and monitor effectiveness and quality of implementation of business activities by the project participants.
∎ Collect anecdotes, prepare case studies on success stories and share with relevant stakeholders/donors.
∎ Assist the PM in preparing monthly/quarterly progress reports with quality inputs on IGAs/ incorporating both qualitative and quantitative information.
∎ Take lead role for systematic documentation of project results and impact.
∎ Any other activities assigned by the Project Manager/SMKK management/donors.

Salary: Tk. 25000 - 27000 (Monthly)
