Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Research and analyze target markets, industry trends (e.g., energy transition, automation), competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
∎ Identify high-potential market segments, geographical regions, and specific client types (EPCs, Utilities, Industrial Manufacturers, Infrastructure Developers).
∎ Develop and execute strategic business plans to penetrate target markets and achieve sales/revenue goals.
∎ Monitor regulatory changes and industry standards impacting electro-mechanical projects.
∎ Actively seek and identify new project opportunities through networking, industry events (trade shows, conferences), online platforms, market intelligence, referrals, and direct outreach.
∎ Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads for large-scale or complex electro-mechanical projects.
∎ Qualify leads based on technical feasibility, client needs, budget, timeline, and strategic fit.
∎ Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (Technical Managers, Project Directors, Procurement, C-level) in target client organizations.
∎ Understand clients' specific business challenges, operational needs, and strategic goals related to electro-mechanical systems.
∎ Position the company as a trusted advisor and solutions provider.
∎ Collaborate deeply with Engineering, Estimation, and Technical teams to understand capabilities and develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions.
∎ Translate complex client requirements into conceptual solutions and project scopes.
∎ Lead the proposal process: Coordinate inputs (technical, commercial, legal), oversee proposal writing, ensure alignment with client RFP/RFQ requirements and company strategy.
∎ Develop compelling value propositions, presentations, and technical-commercial proposals.
∎ Drive the costing/estimation process in collaboration with estimators and engineers.
∎ Lead complex negotiations on technical scope, commercial terms (price, payment), delivery schedules, and contractual conditions.
∎ Navigate legal and risk management aspects (in conjunction with Legal/Contracts teams).
∎ Secure purchase orders and finalize contracts (EPC, LSTK, Supply & Install, Service contracts).
∎ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all opportunities, activities, and forecasts in the CRM system.
∎ Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline analysis to management.
∎ Manage the entire sales cycle, which can be lengthy (months or years) for large projects.
∎ Work seamlessly with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, and Legal teams throughout the opportunity lifecycle (pre-sale to post-sale handover).
∎ Ensure smooth handover of won projects to the Project Execution team with clear scope and client expectations.
∎ Provide market feedback to internal teams to influence product/service development.
∎ Possess a strong foundational understanding of electro-mechanical principles, systems, components, and integration challenges.
∎ Doesn't need to be a deep designer, but must grasp the technology sufficiently to communicate effectively with clients and engineers.
∎ Understand relevant standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
∎ Stay updated on technological advancements in the field.
∎ Continuously monitor competitor offerings, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses.
∎ Develop strategies to differentiate the company's electro-mechanical solutions effectively.
∎ Represent the company professionally at industry events, conferences, technical seminars, and client meetings.
∎ Build and leverage a strong professional network within the electro-mechanical project ecosystem.
∎ Core Objective:
∎ To identify, develop, secure, and manage profitable new business opportunities involving complex systems integrating electrical, mechanical, control, and often software components (e.g., power generation/distribution, industrial automation, process plants, HVAC systems, renewable energy plants, material handling systems, specialized machinery). **
