Job Responsibilities:
∎ Enhance brand value of Bengal Airlift Limited as a major freight forwarding company through aggressive expansion of its services and value adding solutions to the wider market.
∎ Prepare effective business development and sales plan in coordination with the HOD that leads to increase in market share and enriches the bottom line.
∎ Manage sales pipeline, segmentation and accurate forecasting to keep performance against expected budget and take corrective action when necessary.
∎ Reach and develop a wider customer base by expanding potential trade lanes.
∎ Price FF services competitively through ongoing identification of market trends and potential opportunities that attracts and retains customers.
∎ Support the HOD in participating in tenders, contributing in ad-hoc project logistics and contract logistics.
∎ Maintain rapport with key accounts/customers by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
∎ Collaborate with cross-section/support teams and departments for smooth functioning of the entire supply chain.
∎ Monitor and ensure compliance to Local and International regulations in freight forwarding for uninterrupted operations.
∎ Provide regular training, guidelines and motivation to subordinates and provide necessary feedback on work assignments.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in recurring correspondence, liaison with foreign and local clients.
∎ Extensive knowledge of the Freight industry and its competitors.
∎ Possess up-market standards of proficiency in Business Communication and English.
∎ Knowledge and familiarity of Bangladesh Customs, IATA Air Cargo rules, compliance to international Freight regulations and other related local regulatory regime.
∎ Proficient in computer applications, like Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, etc. for data analysis and presentations.
∎ Familiarity with international freight forwarding softwares and applications.
∎ Strong working relations with custom authorities, enforcement agencies, relevant government agencies
