Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Financial Transaction:·
∎ Process and record all financial transactions related to passenger services.
∎ Ensure timely billing and collection of passenger revenues.
∎ Reconcile passenger sales reports with bank deposits and receipts.
∎ Revenue Accounting:
∎ Maintain accurate records of passenger ticket sales and refunds.
∎ Reconcile passenger revenue accounts with sales reports from booking system.
∎ Monitor and report on the financial performance of passenger services.
∎ Compliance:
∎ Ensure compliance with internal auditors and international financial regulations and accounting standards.
∎ Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
∎ Maintain up to date knowledge of airline industry regulations and financial practices.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Work closely with the sales and customer service departments to ensure accurate recording of passenger transactions. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
∎ Provide financial support and advice to another department as needed.
∎ System and Tools:
∎ Utilize airline-specific accounting and reservation systems for financial management·
∎ Proficiently use accounting software and MS office suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
