About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to join Green Story B.V.', a leading provider of sustainability and carbon solutions Software as a Service (SaaS), as a Business Development Executive. In this full-time role based in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for driving new business growth and establishing the company's presence in the market.

What you'll be doing

  • Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads and business opportunities in the sustainability and carbon solutions space (Life Cycle Assessment, Traceability and Digital Product Solutions (DPP), LCA Consulting) in Apparel and Clothing Sector.

  • Engage with prospects to understand their challenges and needs, and position Green Story B.V.' solutions as the best-fit solution

  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients

  • Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new clients

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and product teams to contribute to the development of sales and marketing strategies

  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close

  • Continuously expand your knowledge of the sustainability and carbon solutions market, as well as the company's product capabilities

  • Perform prospecting activities such as cold calling, getting past gatekeepers to arrange meetings, and networking  

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years of proven experience in a new business development or sales role, preferably in the SaaS, sustainability, or carbon solutions industry

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence decision-makers

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and articulate complex technical solutions

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

  • Passion for sustainability and a keen interest in the latest trends and developments in the industry

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team

  • Language Skills: Chinese, Cantonese, English
